Heat pump grants
The grant is real. So is the small print.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme takes money off the installed price of a heat pump. You don't claim it yourself. The installer applies and deducts it from your bill, which is also why only certified installers can offer it.
On a typical £8,000 – £14,000 air source install, that leaves most eligible homeowners paying between £500 – £6,500.
Check the installer, not just the price. Ask for their MCS certificate number and look it up on the MCS website. Grant-funded work here is installed under Heat Pump Go's MCS accreditation: call 07712 584 931 and Andy will tell you exactly where Brearley stands.

How much does a new boiler cost in Leeds?
A new combi boiler typically costs £1,800 – £2,800 fitted. System and regular boilers cost more because of the cylinder and extra pipework. The make, the boiler's output and any pipework or flue changes move the price.

Can I get the £7,500 heat pump grant through Brearley?
Yes. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme only pays through installers certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), so grant-funded heat pump work at Brearley is installed and registered with MCS through Heat Pump Go, an MCS-accredited partner who submit the grant application for you.

Is Andy Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Brearley Gas Services is on the Gas Safe Register as company 303975 — search that number on the Gas Safe Register and the business, its engineers and their qualifications come up. Andy's own engineer licence card number is 6059705; any gas engineer should show you that card before they start.
Do you offer finance?
On larger jobs such as heat pumps and bathrooms, yes. Brearley is an Introducer Appointed Representative of TradeHelp Ltd, so Andy can introduce you to a lender.
